OUR STORY

BRIDGING THE GAP

For years I have been testing and trying blends of spices thinking there must be an all purpose seasoning that bridges cultural and situational cooking. I wanted a blend I could season my tacos and pasta with and sprinkle over eggs in the morning.

SOURCED INGREDIENTS

Several years ago I was gifted two key quality sourced ingredients, Sweet Smoked Spanish Paprika and Dried Yellow Scotch Bonnet Pepper. Since then, my cooking has always included Scotch Bonnets (being that I'm Jamaican and love spice!), with Paprika being a regular addition also.

But, what I quickly learned, was that combining Paprika and Dried Scotch Bonnet wasn't enough. So when these spices were combined and blended with a handful of other spices, it was nothing short of incredible. 

However, I ran out of my gifted spices and was struggling to find that quality of spice here in the states. I scoured spice manufactures, tried hundreds of samples, and I finally found my sources.

CHEF MARCUS ANTHONY

Marcus grew up in Long Island New York while maintaining deep roots in Jamaica. After becoming a second generation steamfitter, Marcus took it upon himself to never stop learning. He immersed himself in cooking classes, cook books and spent countless hours with his passion for all things culinary. He eventually found himself in the private chef and catering arena.

We all walk some form of a razor's edge of passion and career. I'm lucky enough to join those that have made their passion their career.

NUTRITION AND WELLNESS

With nutrition and wellness always at the forefront, Marcus believes that your body follows your mind, if you believe you can’t eat healthy, prevent disease, or even cook, your body owns that knowledge.

He has worked to dispel stereotypes, step out of comfort zones and advocate that every person on this planet deserves the knowledge of how to help themselves through good food. He is a graduate of The Institute of Transformational Nutrition as a Certified Transformational Nutrition Coach and Life Coach. His mission is to bring everyone back to the dinner table where the healing that comes from breaking bread with loved ones can never be matched.
